Swingkatten’s show groups MessAround and U-Town Lindyhoppers provide entertainment at both their own and other events.
MessAround
MessAround is Swingkattens show dance group that specializes in dances from the swing era, all from Charlston from the 1920th’s to swing classics from the 50th’s. They offer tasters, workshops and last but not least zippy performances in the swing cultures’s spirit.
We have incorporated jazz culture with everything included in this: music, fashion, joy, improvisation, advanced dance technique and a passion to perform! This joy is shown in dances as lindy hop, balboa, tap, charleston and authentic jazz.

U-Town Lindy Hoppers
The show group was founded in March 2019 by a group of excited swing dancers. Since then they have been active performing at several occasions in Uppsala. The style of the group is a mix of different swing dances with a main focus on Lindy hop and Solo jazz. They draw inspiration for their choreographies, both old and well known such as California routine, First stops, Big Apple, Mama stew and Tranky doo.
